SOOLID blog

We’re currently planning the redesign of SkateMap.it. This is what we have to do:

• Some simple graphic adjustments
• Complete Xhtml strict and css redesign
• New custom CMS in order to manage a network of collaborators, spot updates, reviews, video clips and more.
• Complete platform migration from win / iis / mysql / asp to linux /apache / mysql / php
• New features like flash map (including wether informations, accomodations and more.) Ical based calendar a thin english version and more.

Just for information, SkateMap it’s a Soolid no profit project created to help italian and international skateboarders to get updated informations about italian skateboard park, spot, ramps.

Originally started in ‘99 by Gros and Jep as back side of their Bastard summer catalog with MrRoboto as WebMaster it’s now completely managed by us. Due to lack of time some section are a bit unmanaged and some contents deprecated but the website still has 7.000 registered users, more than 4.000 unique users per day (more during winter) , more than 600 skateboard clips with italian/international skateboarders.
